MPAA: detainment, arrest for evil moviegoers

Saturday, March 10th, 2007 - 1:21PM

MPAA rules
I, an evil, ticket-buying moviegoer, ironically (and illegally?) caught this MPAA ad at the theater last night. I don’t go to see movies that often these days, but I sure did get a pang of cartel-supportin’ guilt after being reminded how evil and illegal recording movies truly is, and how I could be detained and sent off to jail for whipping my audio tape recorder(???) out. Well, at least they got the SE T600 part right, that is definitely one of the best selling phones of all time, and quite likely carried by your average evil pirate out on a quest to rob the poor, starving movie studio executives of the world by taking blurry cameraphone still shots.

  1. yeah, but it kinda looks like the hot new Canon TX1 on there too.. that might give some Ferrari-owning Johns the night sweats…

  2. Trust me, the TX1 is much less hot in person than it is in theory and photos.

  4. Great blog. I really liked it. I have also created a lens in same niche. This is my first time , hope u guys like it. Here’s a brief intro: There are a clear indication that DVD decrypter programs are used in a bad manner such as making illegal copies of movies for sale. But are you aware that there are actually legal situations that allow you to create copies of the movies you own on DVD? With most movies costing close to$20 each it is quite easy to see why people look for anything they canto help reduce replacement costs.
